The most anticipated youth podcast series this fall I WAS HEREfirst episode VILHO WAS HERE can now be listened to on Radio Savo Waves, Spotify and YouTube.
In the first episode 16 years old Vilho Speaks about the effects of social media on the well -being of young people and shares his thoughts on artificial intelligence. What kind of disadvantages can long screen times cause? Will Fomo come if you don’t constantly follow trends? Can I tolerate boredom? What about good when the time doesn’t spend so much at the screen?

Podcast is part of Kuopio 250 anniversary and implemented in collaboration The city of Kuopio and The waves of Savon with. The series gives voice to young people and brings out their diverse views and lifestyles. In the Podcast series, ten Kuopio young people who tell about their lives, experiences and thoughts. Young people are thus leaving their own mark on the history of Kuopio. The series is piloted by the cultural designer of the city of Kuopio Marin years. He hopes that young listeners, in particular, will receive new perspectives, inspiration or identification surface from the guests of the episodes in their own lives.
“Guests of the I WAS here podcast were sought with an open search in Somme and there were dozens of young applicants. This showed that obviously young people have a desire to be heard and the podcast format is seen as interesting.” This is how the podcast presenter Anni says.
Where and when?
A total of ten episodes will be published during the autumn. So new episodes are released every week, for ten weeks. Topics include, for example, a Muslim young man’s everyday life, a story of a young person enthusiastic about stage dances, and a makeup boy.
